The bass features neck-through construction with a highly resonant Alder body, gorgeous Spalted Burl Maple top and matching peghead veneer. The 35" scale 24 fret 2 octave 5-piece multi-laminate Maple/Purpleheart neck has a Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, solid brass nut and an ultra sleek fast feel. The pickups are the passive Bartolini "soapbar" type and they are run through an active Bartolini 2-band eq. system. The bass also features an "independant suspension" bridge. Each string has a separate section made of brass that allows the bridge to act more like a stethoscope, making the strings' connection to wood more direct.
